5 Tips to enjoy life more
As you make plans for a fun filled weekend, here are few tips to bring a bit more joy into your life…
-
Remember what’s important to you.
One of the most powerful things you can do is to get clear on what lights you up…then focus on those things daily, and bring more of it into your life.
Your family?
Your health?
Your friends?
Your career?
Yourself… or something more spiritual or abstract?
If you do that, regardless of the ups and downs of life, you’ll always know you’re moving forward; living a life that makes you feel good.
-
Invest your Time & Attention on the people and things that are truly important to you.
You get to decide how to spend your time and energy so invest it on those you love and the things you value most!
Engage fully. Get rid of the distractions and drama and start tuning in to what matters to you.
This is the core of any happy life…and you most definitely deserve to enjoy yours!
-
If you want to change or improve something, focus only on 1 thing at a time.
We all have lots of daily responsibilities, obligations, distraction, and some more than others. .
Choose one thing to focus on and keep everything else… as is.
Small steps over time will take you a long way to enjoy the process of getting better and achieving what you set out to do instead of running around like a headless chicken trying to get everything done and getting stressed out in the process….
-
Set yourself up to Win The Day.
Make it easy to do the things that fill you up!
If you want to get moving in the morning, prepare the night before… making things easy for YOU/ yourself is a great place to start.
-
Make me-time. Do something you love every day.
Whatever brings you JOY, do more of it.
Whether its painting, walking, dancing, gardening, hanging out with friends, exploring new places, going on adventures, writing, travel, hiking, contemplating your navel, reading a ‘juicy’ book, or inventing/doing new projects with your kiddies (grandchildren, partner, spouse, friends)… whatever blows your skirts up (even if you don’t wear skirts).
In my book life is meant to be enjoyed, not merely tolerated.
KISS
Keep it simple and focus on the things that fill your heart and create more smiles in your day.
Laughter is the best medicine.
