Rape, abuse, misconduct, violence, discrimination, stealing, lying, fraud, dishonesty, and so on, are all social issues as they affect society as a whole, not only the individuals involved. At work, in the working environment it it helps shape the corporate or organizational culture, and at home the problem is as big a problem as anywhere else as it shapes the adults of tomorrow.
Each of us have to set an example for those that follow, especially if you are a leader, and indulging in anti-social behavior for whatever reason when you are in a leadership position is inexcusable.
Rape is prevalent in our society for a number of reasons, none of them good ones. Toddlers and babies get raped because some warped minds believe its a deterrent for HIV/ Aids – nothing can be further from the truth.
Discrimination against specific demographics like age, sex, sexual preference and race have been going on since the dawn of time. We have a conscious brain to help us make choices, but generalizing groups of people is dehumanizing.
Bullying says more about the bully than about the bullied. Pick someone your own size.
Road rage, unnecessary aggression, abuse, and violence seems to be the order of the day. We get fed it morning, noon and night on television, videos and movies. It seems it is not sufficient to shoot a guy dead, for some reason you need to shoot the whole magazine into an already dead body. Really?
Have you noticed how many videos and television programs are about solving crimes? WWE Raw and Wrestle Mania show how people attack each other, and even drawing blood is not enough, they have to be kicked and pummeled, preferably until they are lights out.
Shenanigans and unethical behavior is also what most of the soapies are about. They try and outdo each other with their wheeling and dealing. Great examples and role-models for the kids….. (I’m being sarcastic, but that’s in effect what is happening. Kids absorb this b..s and then we wonder why there are killings at primary schools these days.)
