Brain capacity
If we learnt something new every 3 seconds, i.e. 1001, 1002, 1003, it would take us 3,000,000 years to reach the capacity of our brains. Is that incredible or what? Now even if it took 300 years to reach its capacity, that would still be phenomenal, wouldn’t it?
Use your mind
Our brains are the most underutilized thing there is on this planet. We mission too much about the wrong things, we blow things up out of proportion, we get distracted and upset about absolute inconsequentialities, and we waste our resources doing things we hate because we think we have to; that we have no, or limited options. The fact is, never before has there been a time when there were more opportunities to explore, find your voice, your purpose and meaning in life. No better time to share your most unique gifts with the world. And the good news is… You can!
Optimize your resources
The old adage goes: “Two heads are better than one”. Does it not follow then that the more heads you can use optimally, the better? How many heads have you got in your organization? How well are they utilized?… Or, are they ‘kept in their place’ and rarely asked for input, forcing decision-making up the ranks who are further and further from the day to day issues and challenges of the work force at the work face.
Survival mode
Today, too many people work to put food on the table and a roof over their heads rather than work being their vocation, their passion, their lively-hood, or fulfilling their destiny and sharing their unique gifts with the world. Most people eke out an existence just to make ends meet. Have you never thought: “There must be more to life than this!” You better believe it. There is.
Wasted Talent
So much talent, brainpower, creativity, and potential innovation is suppressed, wasted or kept under wraps for a myriad of reasons. Most workplaces and jobs are particularly bad for developing your full potential.
Disposition of Staff
- The disposition of your staff is a great indicator of the future productivity, sustainability and profitability of your organization.
- Where staff morale is low, there is a snake in the grass, a chocolate log (‘doodoo’) in the swimming pool.
- The more disillusioned or disgusted the workers, the more likely the s..t is to hit the fan. Do you want mud on your face?
