The harder you resist something, the more it persists
The more you make your ‘bad’ behavior ‘wrong’, the more it will persist. When you invest strong emotion with any behavior, it is more likely to repeat. Emotion is a good driver of behavior and reaction that’s why it’s called e-motion.
Changing your thinking (mind), changes your brain
How do you change your brain and its programming? One way is to change your brain with your thoughts, using your conscious mind. You decide, you choose. He! He! Easier said than done not so?
Don’t worry, like (just about) every person on the planet, I’ve got the Noddy-badge and the T-shirt for doing what I don’t want to do and not doing what I do want to do – so I know what I’m talking about. Fortunately – I have found a way to ‘get over this’. What you need to do is to change your mind …YES! … Mind over matter.
Practice makes perfect
Changing your mind; your priory beliefs – and the rest changes virtually automatically.
Behavioral change in large doses is also a good way to transform, but needs quite a bit of willpower, tenacity and perseverance. Do, do, do! Action is king. Doing and practicing lay down new neural pathways so you can change your habitual responses and behavior.
It is not only what you do, but also what you do not do that affects the outcome.

Fast implementation
Decide and implement. Decide and implement. It is the quickest way you get feedback. The longer you wait, the longer it takes for you to see what aspects work, what aspects need tweaking and what does not work. If it does not work, does not mean it does not work at all, merely that in this context in this way it did not work, or that your habits are taking longer to die hard.
Fail to plan, plan to fail
There is a caveat; do not implement so fast that there is no planning, because planning can save you a lot of aggravation in the long run. So rather get a sweet balance going between planning and implementation – always with the end in mind.
Hope these tips will get you going. Just remember if nothing changes, nothing changes… and you have to get to the source of things, otherwise you make it very difficult for yourself, and you will need a hell of a lot of willpower to get things done differently.
