Love/hate your work
How happy are you at work? How are you treated? Overworked and underpaid? How well do management manage things? How much say do you have in improving things at work? Are your suggestions heeded or not?
Grievance and suggestions platform
What if you could give your opinions, make suggestions, and improve not only the operation of your organization, but also make it a much safer and/or nicer place to work in and for? What if you could make it happen without getting into trouble, without making a career limiting move, and without getting your superiors all riled up, would you be interested?
There is a facility on my website to do exactly that. The more colleagues you can get to fill in the forms and air their grievances, the more visible it will become, and the more likely it is that something will be done about the issues and problems at work.
How does it work?
You fill in the forms online mentioning the things that aren’t working or aren’t right. Your organizations will never find out who said what, because all they will get are statistical reports highlighting risks and what employees (as a collective) think is wrong in the organization. The more specific you are and the more votes we have for an organization, the more weight it will carry, and the more likely it will be for us to be able to convince them of the threat it poses to the sustainability and welfare of the organization and its workers (you).
Vote for a Staff Audit
There are a number of questionnaires on various different topics, from social ills, mismanagement, abuse, and discrimination to environmental risk, as well as illegal, immoral, unethical behavior and other misdemeanors, as well as an opportunity to vote for your organization to have a staff audit.
What is a Staff Audit?
A staff audit gives workers the opportunity to say what they think about the organization, management, HR, colleagues, supervisors, their workload and various other factors that impact on employee disposition, i.e. how content/happy or discontent/unhappy people are at work, because this has a huge influence on the productivity of the workforce and the long-term sustainability and well-being of an organization, not to mention your stress levels, health, wellbeing and job satisfaction and enjoyment.

Mismanagement exposed
Are you treated fairly, with respect and dignity? Does your Human Resources Department have your best interests at heart? Do you love or hate what you do? Are you overworked and underpaid? Are your colleagues a pain in the guava?
What is your pet peeve at work? What bugs you the most? Has anyone ever asked your opinion? … and listened? Was anything done about it? Have you given your opinion but it was shot down? What would make the biggest difference to you, your team, your department, the organization – if it changed?
Do you have a forum where you can air your views or not? Does anyone listen? Is anything done about the issues raised? And if issues are addressed, to what degree do the solutions work? If you were management what would you fix first?
Almost all problems in business are a result of some fault of management, whether it is choosing employees, managing staff, keeping workers gainfully engaged, planning, organizing or orchestrating work and tasks, profitability and effectiveness of the workforce, it all boils down to how well resources; including people, are being managed and led and to what degree the organizational culture is undermining everyone’s efforts, or providing a supportive environment for people (and the organization) to flourish.
Contentment affects everyone
The more one’s disposition improves; the happier and more content you are; the more creative and productive you become. This feeling of contentment ripples out to all aspects of your life and everyone you come into contact with….

Half of the world is composed of people who have something to say and can’t, the other half have nothing to say; yet keep blustering on. – paraphrased from a quote by Robert Frost
