Your role as leader
Leaders have the most important role to play in any society, community, organization and any group setting. You either make it or break it. It all depends on how you treat the members of the group, the people who report to you… and … on who and how you are being. Actions and behavior speak louder than words. [90% of the messages you send are subliminal – so if what you say and do is not congruent with what you believe, you will send mixed messages and people will not trust you].
It does not matter where in the hierarchy you find yourself, you can still be a leader
Set the example
Being a leader or head of an operation does not mean you have arrived, it means you have a responsibility, nay an obligation to use your influence to make this world a better place in whatever way is most appropriate for you. As leaders you need to set the example, set the pace.

To abuse the position and power at the top is despicable, no matter how beguiling, enticing, attractive, tempting, or seductive the idea, offer, or ‘prize’. To sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor in your own time and space is fine, but not when you should be leading.

Become a leader in your own right, a fore-runner in exploring new frontiers of the human mind, pushing the boundaries of possibility and norms… Not only leading people but also at the leading edge of developing human potential and endeavor.

A visionary leader is the most inspiring and exciting type of leader to have, the one people are most likely to follow and the one people are most likely to want to emulate, aspire to and, at the very least, support. Without change in the individual, it is hardly possible for any change in the business, or culture of an organization.
Can you imagine what it would be like if people operated not from a fear-base, but from an inspired, inspiring, or inspirational point of view /frame of reference – because they can?
